In his address, Marcos said this is also an opportunity for citizens to familiarize themselves with the new route.

"This will introduce our new roads and expressways to those who are in need of that transport system. I now call upon the Toll Regulatory Board to ensure its immediate implementation for the benefit of the riding and transport public," the President said.

The 30-day toll-free period began at 6:00 PM last night, June 21, 2024, on the newly opened Cavitex C5 Link Sucat Interchange.

According to Marcos, the Cavitex C5 Link Sucat Interchange will ease commuters' journey from Cavitex R1 to Sucat, Parañaque, reducing it to just 5 minutes, compared to the current one-hour travel time.

The Cavitex C5 Link Expressway Segment 3B, on the other hand, is expected to cut down travel time from Cavitex R1 to SLEX/C5 Road from 40 minutes to just 10 minutes.

Marcos commended the collective efforts of the PRA, Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation, Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation, and everyone involved in its construction.

"With all of these, we are creating a nation where Filipinos can easily access and traverse our communities, and have a comfortable and productive time as they do it," Marcos concluded.
