Cheaper rice will become available at Kadiwa ni Pangulo by January 2025.

Assistant Secretary of the Department of Agriculture (DA), Genevieve Guevarra, stated that various types of rice will be sold for less than P40 per kilo.

Kadiwa ni Pangulo will sell a variety of brown rice they will call "Nutri Rice," priced at P38 per kilo.

There will also be a rice variety called "Sulit Rice" to be sold at P36 per kilo. Guevarra explained that the Sulit Rice is the "super broken" variety.

Guevarra reported that these two rice varieties have been receiving positive feedback based on initial tests and taste samplings.

Under the "Rice for All" program, rice is priced at P40 per kilo.

On December 10, 2024, Tuesday, Kadiwa ni Pangulo stalls will be set up at the North Avenue Station of MRT3 and Monumento Station of LRT1 to allow citizens to purchase affordable rice.

It is also possible that Kadiwa ni Pangulo stalls will be placed at the Guadalupe Station of MRT3 and Taft Avenue Station of LRT1, as well as PITX stations to sell affordable rice.

The DA is also coordinating with the following markets:

to set up stalls selling rice at P40 per kilo, which will be open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 8:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon.
