The storm is estimated to be moving west-northwest at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour, according to the most recent report from PAGASA as of 11:00 PM last night.
This storm carries winds of up to 110 kilometers per hour near its center and gusts up to 135 kilometers per hour. As of last night, the center of Tropical Storm Ofel, categorized as a Severe Tropical Storm, was located 630 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes (14.5°N, 130.0°E).
Signal Number 1 has been raised in Cagayan, including the Babuyan Islands, north-east of Isabela (Maconacon, San Pablo, Cabagan, Santa Maria, Divilacan, Palanan), and the eastern part of Apayao (Flora, Santa Marcela, Luna, Pudtol) due to Tropical Storm Ofel.
Tropical Storm Ofel is bringing extremely heavy rain to Isabela and Cagayan, which are expected to experience intense to torrential rains today, November 13.
Heavy to intense rains are likewise predicted in the following areas: Apayao, Abra, Batanes, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.
Moderate to heavy rains are expected to pour over: Aurora, Ilocos Norte, Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet, Quirino, and Ilocos Sur.
