Northern Luzon has not yet had time to recover, as another storm hits the region, threatening to make landfall on the eastern coasts of Cagayan or Isabela on the afternoon or evening of Thursday, November 14, 2024.

The storm is estimated to be moving west-northwest at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour, according to the most recent report from PAGASA as of 11:00 PM last night.

This storm carries winds of up to 110 kilometers per hour near its center and gusts up to 135 kilometers per hour. As of last night, the center of Tropical Storm Ofel, categorized as a Severe Tropical Storm, was located 630 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes (14.5°N, 130.0°E).

Signal Number 1 has been raised in Cagayan, including the Babuyan Islands, north-east of Isabela (Maconacon, San Pablo, Cabagan, Santa Maria, Divilacan, Palanan), and the eastern part of Apayao (Flora, Santa Marcela, Luna, Pudtol) due to Tropical Storm Ofel.
