The Civil Service Commission will be holding Online Zumba sessions and screenings of award-winning films as part of the month-long celebration of the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) this September.
The Online Zumba is open to all government officials and employees, as well as their family members aged 18 and above.
"On the 1st of September, we expect to see thousands of government employees actively participating in the Online Zumba as a show of support for the PCSA celebration. More than promoting the importance of health and wellness of every public servant, this activity is a demonstration of unity in civil service towards a common goal," said CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.
Meanwhile, the CSC Regional Office I has partnered with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) not only for the Online Zumba, but also to provide participants the opportunity to watch selected films through the FDCP channel at https://fdcpchannel.ph.
Three excellent films can be viewed for the entire month of September on the FDCP Channel, namely "Edward" directed by Thop Nazareno, "Mañanita" by Paul Soriano, and "Retirada" by Cynthia Cruz-Paz and Milo Paz.
Registration for the Online Zumba costs P250.00 and ended last August 25, 2024. The proceeds will be donated to the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani project, which provides financial assistance and scholarships to the families of government employees who died in the line of duty.
