The City Government of Taguig City participated in the annual National Arbor Day celebration on June 25, 2024, by planting new trees along the central island of C6 Road, Laguna Lake Highway, Barangay Lower Bicutan in Taguig City.

Over 200 seedlings and saplings of Tabebuia Rosea, also known as pink trumpets, were planted on the day.

"We need to balance development. The development of our city will only be complete if we value modern development, progress, and technology. We embrace these, but at the same time, we also give importance to taking care of Mother Nature," Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano stated, who was among the leaders in planting the seedlings and saplings.
