A buy-bust operation was carried out by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) at Magsaysay Extension near Maguindanao Street, Barangay New Lower Bicutan around 8:40 PM on May 8.
Fahad Esmail, 24, and Jay Salboro, 21, were arrested after the exchange of drugs and money. Approximately 250 grams of suspected shabu worth P 1.7 million were seized from the two suspects.
The two arrested face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) at the Taguig City Prosecutor's Office.
From May 9 to 10, 2024, the NCRPO conducted an intensified operation against drugs, resulting in the arrest of 52 individuals involved in drug-related activities, the execution of 26 drug operations, and the seizure of 191.28 grams of shabu and 7,000 grams of marijuana with a total value of P2,140,704.00.
