A heroes' parade, honoring the exceptional performance of Filipino athletes at the recently concluded Paris Olympics 2024, is set to take place on August 14, 2024, beginning at 3pm. The event will be led by double gold medalist gymnast, Carlos Yulo, and will proceed from Pasay City to Manila.

The 7.7 kilometer parade will start at the Aliw Theater in Pasay City, take a left onto Roxas Boulevard, turn right onto Padre Burgos, right onto Finance Road, right onto Taft Avenue, right onto Quirino Avenue, left onto Adriatico Street, and will conclude at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

Spectators are welcome to line the parade route, waving their Philippine flags in salute to the triumphant athletes. Carlos Yulo, the young Manila native who made history at the Olympics with his two gold medals in Artistic Gymnastics, will lead the parade. Also being celebrated are Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas who won bronze medals in boxing, and another Manila native, Ernest John Obiena who placed fourth in pole vaulting. Additionally, Bianca Pagdanganan of golf also secured a fourth-place finish.

Motorists affected by the parade are advised to seek alternate routes with the assistance of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA). A stop and go traffic scheme will also be implemented along the parade route.

The City Government of Manila has pledged to award Carlos Yulo, who grew up in Malate, with a prize of 2 million PHP. Ernest John Obiena, who resides in Tondo, Manila, will be gifted 500,000 PHP for his fourth-place finish in the pole vault competition.
