Five hundred residents of Taguig will receive new passports as the Department of Foreign Affairs rolls out its "Passport On Wheels" initiative in the city.

The initial application process for new or renewed passports will take place at the Taguig City Hall Auditorium from September 2 to 14, 2024, Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The actual completion of the application process will take place on September 30, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Lakeshore Hall, Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.

Application fees for passports are P1,200 for the passport, P150 for courier services, and P50 for convenience fees, to be paid by the applicants on September 30, 2024.

The Taguig City Registry Office stated that those applying for passports from September 2 to 14 at the Taguig City Hall Auditorium will first have their applications reviewed for approval. Once approved, they will proceed to the Passport on Wheels venue at Lakeshore Hall on September 30.

Requirements for adults applying for new passports include:

1. Personal application
2. Completion of the application form
3. Original and photocopy of the Certificate of Live Birth issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority
• For married women using their husband's surname, they must also present a Certificate of Marriage.
• If the PSA issued document is unclear, a copy from the Local Civil Registrar is needed.
4. Original and photocopy of a government-issued ID.

Those who registered their birth late must submit a PSA issued Certificate of Live Birth, Report of Birth, or Certificate of Foundling.

Additional government-issued IDs are needed, or if none, two of the following documents:

• NBI Clearance (valid or expired)
• School Records such as Form 137-A, Transcript of Records, or Diploma from Elementary, High School and/or College
• If a government employee, a Service Record is needed
• Member Data Record (MDR) from PhilHealth

The accepted government-issued IDs when applying for a passport (original and photocopy must be presented) include:

• Social Security System (SSS) Card
• Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Card
• Unified Multi-Purpose Identification (UMID) Card
• Land Transportation Office (LTO) Driver's License
• Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) ID
• Philippine Identification (PhillD)/ePhillD
• Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) E-Card
• Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Voter's ID or Voter's Certificate issued from COMELEC main office in Intramuros, Manila.
• Philippine National Police (PNP) Permit to Carry Firearms Outside Residence
• Senior Citizen ID
• Airman License (issued August 2016 onwards)
• Philippine Postal ID (issued November 2016 onwards)
• Seafarer's Record Book (SRB) or Seafarers Identity Document (SID) ("must be issued Feb 2020 onwards) issued by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA)
• Valid or Latest Passport (For Renewal of Passport)
• School ID (if applicable)
• For minor applicants, if they do not have a school ID, they must bring a copy of the Certificate of Enrolment with the applicant minor's photo and the school's dry seal.

For applicants of legal age, they must bring their school ID and Certificate of Registration.

Those renewing their passports also need the filled-out application form, personal appearance on the day of application, the current ePassport with a copy of the data page, and original PSA-issued documents to support the change of the applicant's name, a Certificate of Marriage for those married, annotated Certificate of Live Birth, annotated Certificate of Marriage to show annulment or divorce or court order, and if the spouse has died, a Certificate of Death of Spouse.

For minor applicants, they need their filled-out application form, personal appearance of the minor applicant with their parent or authorized adult, proof of relationship of the accompanying adult to the child, a PSA-issued Certificate of Live Birth, also prepare the Local Civil Registrar Copy if the PSA-issued one is not readable, and their school ID.

If the child being applied for is a newborn or less than 1 year old and does not have a PSA birth certificate or report of birth yet, if born in the Philippines, they must submit a Certified True Copy (CTC) of the Local Civil Registrar (LCR) Birth Certificate authenticated by the PSA.

If born abroad, they must submit the original birth certificate and endorsement from the Consular Records Division (CRD).
