In a two-page letter addressed to Taguig officials, the Pembo Warriors group expressed their desire for their barangay to be placed under the jurisdiction of Taguig. "We would like to make known to you that we are eagerly awaiting the complete takeover of Taguig City," the group stated in their letter.
The group also wants to know what they can expect from the city government of Taguig when their barangay is transferred under its administration.
According to them, there are fake news circulating that their transfer to Taguig administration is not yet possible, and that the Supreme Court is allegedly holding a hearing to discuss the territorial dispute between Taguig and Makati.
"They are busy suppressing and twisting the mindset of the people on the issue of Taguig vs Makati. Employees known to be supporters of Taguig are forced to resign. Those people are maligned, shamed, and immediately removed from service without due process," the letter from the self-identified Pembo Warriors states.
The names of the group's members who wrote to Taguig were not disclosed.
