Pet owners in the EMBO (Enlisted Men's Barrio) barangays still have a chance to join this afternoon, January 18, 2025, until 4:00 PM, for consultation and vaccination services, including providing vitamins for their pet dogs and cats.
The pet caravan is currently at Pembo Elementary School in Barangay Pembo, Taguig City, providing free vaccinations against rabies, vitamins shots and medication, as well as free deworming and microchipping.
Free spay and neuter services are also available but slots are limited. Walk-ins are welcome for this service.
If you can't make it this afternoon, the pet caravan in the EMBO barangays will repeat at Pembo Elementary School next Saturday, January 25, 2025.
Pet owners are required to bring a valid identification card (ID) showing an address in Taguig, particularly in the EMBO barangay.
Pet owners should also bring their pet's vaccination card if available, and ensure their pet's anti-rabies vaccination is up-to-date.
Pet owners should also bring leashes or cages for their pets, who should be diapered and accompanied by a cloth or plastic bag for waste. If a pet is aggressive, it should be muzzled or coned.
If bringing a pet for deworming and anti-rabies vaccination, the pet should be healthy. Deworming will only be given to pets aged two weeks and above, while anti-rabies vaccination is for pets aged 3 months and older.
For pets to be spayed or neutered, only two pets per owner will be accepted, and they should be aged 6 months and older, and weigh more than 3 kilograms.
Pregnant dogs, lactating dogs, dogs in heat, or dogs that have been ill in the past two weeks are not eligible for the spay/neuter procedure. The pet should also be fasting for 6 to 8 hours before the procedure.
