Nagtungo si Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano sa Signal Village National High School ilang oras makalipas ang pangyayari at personal na nag-abot ng pakikiramay sa mga magulang ng dalawang estudyante.
Pinakinggan din ng alkalde at ng mga pamilya ang ulat at resulta ng pangunang imbestigasyon ng mga otoridad ng Taguig City Police at Scene of Crime Operation (SOCO), kung saan inihayag ng mga ito na wala silang nakikitang foul play sa pangyayari.
Sa inilabas na pahayag ng pamahalaang lungsod ng Taguig, nakasaad na inatasan ni Cayetano na masinsinan pang imbestigahan ang trahedya.
"The City Government assures the grieving families of its full support as they struggle to comprehend this inexplicable misfortune. We kindly request the public to avoid sharing unverified information on social media that may only hurt the feelings of the bereaved families. This sad event is devastating not only to the bereaved loved ones but to Mayor Lani and the entire Taguig community. We seek God's guidance, and call on the church leaders, teachers and school administrators, parents, and community leaders to come together for our young people and help them navigate this difficult experience."
Sinabi rin ng alkalde na napakahalaga ng damayan at pang-unawa sa ganitong panahon.
Ipinaalala rin niya na maaaring tumawag sa Taguig Mental Health Teleconsultation Hotline sa 0929-521-8373 o 0932-272-4888 kung nakakaranas ng matinding kalungkutan, pag-aalala, pangamba o kawalan ng pag-asa.
"We just re-launched last month our "Helping Others find Peace and Encouragement (HOPE) Program." The Program addresses anxiety, depression, hopelessness, and suicidal tendencies in students through monthly plenary workshops and weekly small groups discussions in schools with volunteers from faith-based organizations. We put up HOPE Centers in pilot schools where troubled students can drop by anytime without fear of stigma or being judged. Re-training of volunteers is ongoing. We urge our students to take part in our HOPE Program," ang nakasaad sa pahayag ng pamahalaang lungsod ng Taguig.
Ang buhay ay isang mahalagang regalo, ayon sa pamahalaang lungsod ng Taguig. "Every life is important. In this time of collective sorrow, let us show collective resolve to overcome this tragedy."
Ang dalawang estudyante, isang Grade 8 student na 13 taong gulang at isang Grade 10 student na 15 taong gulang, ay natagpuang wala nang buhay sa Girl Scouts of the Philippines room sa Signal Village National High School bago mag-hatinggabi ng Nobyembre 10, 2023.
