Resolusyon sa Pagsama sa 10 EMBO Barangays sa Legislative Districts ng Taguig at Pateros, Inaprubahan ng Senado at Kongreso | Taguig Balita

Inaprubahan ng Mataas at Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ang concurrent resolution na naglalayong isama ang sampung Enlisted Men's Barrios (EMBO) barangays sa legislative districts ng Taguig City at ng Munisipalidad ng Pateros.

Sa Kongreso, iniharap ito ni Taguig-Pateros Lone District Representative Ricardo Cruz, Jr. sa pamamagitan ng viva-voce voting.



Sa Senado naman, ito ay inilatag ni Senador Alan Peter Cayetano.



Sa ilalim ng resolusyon, ng unang distrito ay kabibilangan ng mg barangay ng Comembo, Pembo, at Rizal samantalang ang ikalawang distrito ay kabibilangan ng Cembo, South Cembo, East Rembo, West Rembo, Pitogo, Post Proper Northside at Post Proper Southside.

Nakasaad sa resolusyon sa Kongreso na ito ay bling pagtugon sa hangarin ng mga rehistradong botante ng 10 EMBO barangays na magawa ang kanilang karapatang makaboto at makapili ng kakatawan sa kanila.

"In response to the expression of will of the people of Taguig and to ensure that 208, 716 registered voters in the 10 EMBO barangays are not disenfranchised and the 336,873 residents are not left without representation in the House of Representatives, the EMBO barangays are hereby apportioned to the two legislative districts of the City of Taguig and the Municipality of Pateros," ang nakasaad sa concurrent resolution.

Nakasaad din dito ang pagdadagdag ng mga konsehal sa Taguig kung saan aakyat sa 12 ang bilang mula sa 8 ng mga konsehal sa bawat Councilor District ng Taguig City.
