Sinabi ni Asst. Secretary Amanda Nograles ng DTI Consumer Protection Group na kapag nasa ilalim na ng promotional discount ang isang produktong ibinebenta, mamimili na ang senior citizen o PWD kung ang kukunin niya ay ang promotional discount o ang diskwento niya bilang senior citizen.
Ito aniya ay nakasaad sa Republic Act 9994 o tinatawag na "Expanded Senior Citizen Act of 2010."
Nakalagay sa Section 4 nito na: "In the purchase of goods and services which are on promotional discount, the senior citizen can avail of the promotional discount or the discount provided herein, whichever is higher."
