Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Rommel Francisco Marbil has ordered all police units to strengthen security protection across 42,029 barangays in the country, particularly in aggrieved communities and remote or hard-to-reach areas.
The move aims to reduce crimes, terrorism, and illegal activities related to drugs.
"The safety of our citizens begins in the barangays. We are committed to ensuring that no community is left unguarded and that every corner of our nation feels the protective arm of the PNP," Marbil said.
Meanwhile, the Taguig City Police continues their Project Patrolling and Response Operation Training to Empower CVO's and Tanod (P.R.O.T.E.C.T.) program across the barangays in Taguig City.

The two-day P.R.O.T.E.C.T. took place recently in Barangay South Daang Hari, where the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, basic incident report writing or blotter writing, elements of citizen's arrest, searches and seizures, handcuffing techniques, the duties and responsibilities of a watchman, and bomb awareness were discussed.
