The Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) is preparing various areas in Taguig City for a power interruption from June 29 to 30, 2024, due to scheduled maintenance activities.

Included in the temporary power interruption scheduled between 9:00 to 9:30 in the morning and 1:30 to 2:00 in the afternoon of June 29, 2024, are parts of Sampaguita Street from J.P. Rizal to 9th Street including Jollibee, and 8th and 9th Streets in Barangay Comembo.

From 9:00 in the morning to 2:00 in the afternoon, parts of J. P. Rizal St. from 27th Ave. to Anahaw St. including the Philippine Army Village Homeowners Asso. Inc. (PAVAI); KFC, Mercury Drugstore, Meriras Commercial Complex, Mormon Church, and Benigno "Ninoy" S. Aquino High School in the barangays of Comembo and East Rembo will experience power interruption on June 29.

Also experiencing the outage during the same time will be parts of Anahaw Street from J. P. Rizal St. to Apitong, Alagao, Aguho, Tanguile, 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Sts.; and the Comembo Barangay Hall in Barangay Comembo.

Carlos P. Garcia Avenue or C5 Road in Barangay Ususan, Taguig City will also experience a power interruption on June 30 due to line reconstruction and line reconductoring works.

Included in the power interruption happening between 9:00 in the morning and 2:00 in the afternoon are parts of Carlos P. Garcia Ave. (C-5 Road) from Pinagsama Village Phase 2 to PDS Ave. including parts of Diego Silang Village, MRB Condominium Compound; and the Bases Conversion & Development Authority (BCDA) Field Office in the Barangays of Ususan and Western Bicutan.

Parts of PDS Avenue from Carlos P. Garcia Ave. (C-5 Road) to Cypress Tower in Barangay Ususan will also experience a power interruption on June 30.

Meralco stated that they will be replacing some poles, conducting line reconductoring works, and installing additional lightning protection during this period.
