Meralco announced that various areas, including Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Batangas, Quezon, and even Bulacan and Metro Manila, are experiencing power supply interruptions due to the strong winds and rain brought by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.
"Meralco is working round the clock to restore power in areas affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine. Meralco reminded its customers to observe utmost safety," said a statement issued by Meralco.
At 12:30 PM later today, Meralco's spokesman and Head of Corporate Communication, Joe Zaldarriaga, Vice President of Meralco, will provide the latest updates.
For those experiencing power outages, Meralco reminded them to ensure that the main electricity switch is turned off and to make sure everything is dry before handling any electrical facilities.
