It's necessary for the viewing location to be dark and far from city lights in order to fully experience the meteor shower.

Its peak activity will be from exactly 5:00 in the morning until 5:56 in the morning.

The Quadrantid has been active since December 26, 2024, and will remain active until January 12, 2025.

As the Earth orbits the sun several times a year, it passes through the remnants left by comets or asteroids. The Quadrantids originate from parts of the asteroid 2003 EH1.
