A Russian DJ who has been overstaying for more than three years and causing disturbances in the country was captured by Immigration.
The 36-year-old DJ, Andrei Umanskii, was arrested by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) Intelligence Division at a mall in Pasay City.
BI Intelligence Division Chief Fortunato Manahan, Jr. stated that there was an order to deport Umanskii out of the country since 2023 due to his status as an overstaying alien.
In 2020, the Russian was also arrested in El Nido, Palawan for causing a disturbance after drinking and resisting arrest by the police.
In 2022, he assaulted a tricycle driver in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
Umanskii is currently detained at the BI Detention Facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City while paperwork related to his deportation is being prepared.
