During her personal visit to Upper Bicutan Elementary School, which was captured by netizen Laurio Aiza, Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano said that elementary students will receive three pairs of polo shirts and two long pants for boys, and three blouses and two skirts for girls. They will also receive two pairs of socks, a pair of black shoes, a P.E. shirt, jogging pants, bags, and complete school supplies. Elementary students have an added health kit. High school students, on the other hand, get an additional pair of rubber shoes.
"More than the material things we're handing over, our presence here today is a testament to our readiness to fully support our learners, to support their dreams and aspirations in life, and to show them that we're ready to collaborate. We are ready to unite when it comes to their future," Cayetano said.
The Administrative Officer of Pitogo High School warmly accepted the school supplies that Cayetano distributed to their students. According to Dr. Mary Rose M. Roque, "it's a day of significance, a day that we come together to welcome and embrace change, growth and the promise of the future."
"The act of receiving these supplies signifies the transition from one phase to another, a transition that is marked by anticipation, enthusiasm, and a sense of readiness, to explore the uncharted territories of knowledge. Therefore equipping our very own students with the means to express themselves and flourish," Roque added.
