Four young friends were caught in the act of conducting an illegal drug transaction on the second floor of a house in Barangay Tuktukan, Taguig City.

A concerned citizen tipped off the Taguig City Police Substation 4 after noticing the illegal activity of the young men in the said house.

Those arrested were individuals known as Boy, 21 years old; Denden, 20 years old; Echo, 19 years old; and Jeff, 18 years old.

Eight small plastic sachets suspected to contain shabu (methamphetamine) were retrieved from them, with a total estimated value of PHP 326,400.

Also in Barangay Tuktukan, two male siblings were arrested after being found in possession of suspected shabu valued at PHP 61,000.

Acting on a search warrant, personnel from Taguig City Police Substation 4 searched the premises and found 9 grams of suspected shabu, in addition to drug paraphernalia, from known individuals Aison, 34 years old, and Alvin, 33 years old.

Meanwhile, a house and building painter was arrested by the Taguig City Police in Barangay Palingon-Tipas for possession of illegal drugs.

Executive Judge Byron San Pedro of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 15-Family Court issued a search warrant against the 43-year-old man known as Vincent.

18.5 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated value of PHP 125,800 and contained in 14 plastic sachets, were seized from Vincent.

The arrested individuals are currently detained at the Taguig City Jail while charges for violations of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared.
