Road safety education is of prime importance, and for the first time, the Taguig City Government, the Department of Education - School Division Office of Taguig City and Pateros (DepEd TAPAT), and the Honda Foundation, Incorporated (HFI) have joined forces for the "Students on Safety" program at Signal Village National High School (SVNHS).

The program aims to instill in the minds of the youth road safety, proper vehicle operation, and responsible riding habits for the protection of students, teachers, and other school personnel.

Through Honda's Students on Safety (SOS) program, practical knowledge on road safety is taught in a manner that is easy to understand and enjoyable for the students.

SOS originated from Honda's former safety riding promotion, which was conducted in various cities in Metro Manila and was solely focused on motorcycle riders.

Over 250 road users, including junior and senior high school students of SVNHS, along with their teachers and school staff, participated in the program.

Also present were HFI President and concurrent president of Honda Parts Manufacturing Corp. (HPMC) Seiji Fujimoto; an HFI Board of Trustees led by Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) President, Rie Miyake; Honda Trading Philippines Ecozone, Corp. (HTPE) President, Tomoyuki Mabuchi, DepEd TAPAT; and officials from SVNHS.
