Choi Jonguk, 42 years old, has been wanted since 2019 for operating an illegal gambling website, victimizing Korean customers who were betting on sports competition results.
Reportedly, Choi was profiting by selling sports betting tickets online, an act in violation of their country's national sports promotion act.
Choi is now detained at the Bureau of Immigration Detention Facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City while awaiting his deportation papers.
