"The weakness in children's performance is related to a lack of proficiency in reading and understanding what is read. I hope we continue and help not only in the Department of Education and City Government, but even at home, we should make it a habit to practice reading," Cayetano said.

The City Library of Taguig also distributed children's books, toys, and snacks to the children and parents who attended the book reading.
