As Rizal Barangay Captain Sammy Cruz was making his rounds, he and his companions heard ten gunshots.
According to the captain's colleagues, they had just passed in front of the Barangay Rizal Covered Court, a place they routinely patrol every morning, and had spotted the victim sweeping the street. It was upon turning their backs that they heard the gunfire.
One witness reported seeing the suspect wearing a gray hoodie jacket and riding a motorcycle.
Investigators are still determining the motive behind the shooting of the victim.
