Residents of Taguig were dismayed by the abrupt cessation of the point-to-point (P2P) bus service of Metro Express Bus, also known as MexBus, operating routes from Taguig to Makati and Taguig to Ortigas and return journeys.

MexBus suspended their trips along these specified routes starting Monday, February 19, 2024.

MexBus advised affected commuters to find alternative transportation to their destinations.

"We extend our gratitude for your support and request you to plan alternative commuting options accordingly. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding," MexBus expressed in a post on their official Facebook page.

Several commuters were caught off guard by the cessation of MexBus' operations and scrambled to find alternative modes of transport, such as carpooling. Others sought out other public transportation, braving crowded conditions.

As of now, Taguig.com has not received any answer from Metro Express as to why they halted their regular service from Taguig to Makati and Taguig to Ortigas.
