This project was granted by the Duterte Government to Ayala Land, Incorporated (ALI) under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme.
"Most probably, we will conduct the groundbreaking within December. We will have to coordinate with the concessionaire, Ayala Land, for the date. It was awarded to them even before our term, by the previous administration. I just want it to be implemented. Most likely it will be slightly larger (than the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange or PITX) and it will be called TCITX," said Secretary Jaime Bautista, head of the Department of Transportation.
The TCITX will feature a centralized ticketing area for commuter buses and a large space for passengers. Pedestrian walkways will also be installed, leading to the Food Terminal Incorporated (FTI) station of the Philippine National Railway and the proposed Metro Manila subway system.
Beneficiaries of the TCITX will include passengers heading to Batangas and Laguna and various parts of Metro Manila. It will also provide connections to terminals leading to the Visayas and Mindanao.
This is similar to the PITX, which connects commuter buses heading south and north.
