Taguig City is among the top five cities in the National Capital Region (NCR) that the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) selected as nominees for the 2024 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit (LGU) Award. The award will be presented at the 50th PCCI Business Conference on October 23, 2024.

In the final judgment conducted on September 23, 25 and 27, 2024 at the PICC office, the Board of Judges interviewed Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano to learn about the city's achievements in effective governance, trade and investment reforms, transparency, accountability, efficiency in delivering business services, and promoting continuous development for businesses in Taguig and the acceleration of local economic progress.

In addition to Taguig City, the short-listed top 5 nominees for Most Business-Friendly LGU in Metro Manila are:
1. Marikina City, led by Mayor Marcy Teodoro
2. Navotas City, led by Mayor John Rey Tiangco
3. Pasig City, led by Mayor Vico Sotto
4. Quezon City Government, led by Mayor Joy Belmonte

The final results will be announced on October 11, 2024, and the awarding ceremony will be held on October 23, 2024.

In this year's awarding, the PCCI aims to highlight the changes in LGUs, success stories and effective methods for business development, and continued partnership with the private sector in boosting the economy.
