The Taguig City Peace and Order Council (TCPOC) garnered an excellent overall score of 92.47% with an adjectival rating of Highly Functional based on the Local Peace and Order audit conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
The innovative and effective methods of implementing peace and order programs by the city government of Taguig are credited for this high mark, according to the DILG Regional Audit Team.
The city government of Taguig stated that this superb score is just proof of their ongoing implementation of innovative methods to enforce peace and order, ensuring the safety of all its residents.
The DILG honored Taguig with an award in a ceremony. They were also provided with a detailed copy of the assessment results.
The city government of Taguig maintains a strong relationship with the Taguig City Police and barangay officials to collaborate on ensuring peace and order in the city.
In October of the previous year, a joint meeting of the Peace and Order Council and Taguig Anti-Drug Abuse Council was held, led by Council Chairwoman Mayor Lani Cayetano, at the Kalayaan Hall, Taguig City Satellite Office, to discuss programs related to peace and order for the welfare of the Taguigeños.
The city's measures to strengthen security and develop a more comprehensive program against criminality were discussed.
