Students from Taguig City have won five gold medals and one bronze medal at the 13th Global Information Technology Challenge (GICT) for Youth with Disabilities, held at the Manila Hotel from November 3 to 8, 2024.

A total of twenty-four medals were won by students from the Philippines, six of which were secured by students from schools in Taguig City.
The Global IT Challenge (GITC) is an international competition led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea, LG, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development. The event aims to recognize the proficiency of disabled youth and promotes inclusion and participation of disabled students in the digital economy.
One hundred and fifty participants from 16 countries competed in the event where Taguig students triumphed in eTool, eLifeMap, eContent, and eCreative, testing their problem-solving skills, creativity, and technical expertise.
