A minor misunderstanding occurred after some senior citizens and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) from Enlisted Men's Barrios (EMBO) barangays queued up extra early to vote in the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) yesterday, October 30.

According to some who queued around 4:30 a.m., they thought that Taguig was included in the early voting hours project by the Commission on Elections.

However, as early as last week, the Comelec announced on their social media page Comelec-Taguig that the city is not included in the early voting hours project for the BSKE 2023.

Under this project, senior citizens, PWDs, pregnant women, and their companions may vote from 5:00 to 7:00 a.m.

Only Muntinlupa City and Naga City in Camarines Sur are included in the project, not Taguig.

"We would like to inform that the City of Taguig is not among the areas with Early Voting Hours for the members of Persons with Disability (PWD), Senior Citizens, and heavily pregnant women (6 months or more)," according to Comelec-Taguig.

This group was still given priority in the line during the voting hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
