Taguig City and other parts of Metro Manila will be scorching with intense heat today, June 18, after the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) predicted a heat index of 44 degrees Celsius.

However, this will suddenly drop to 39 degrees Celsius on June 19, 2024, due to the rain brought by the southwest monsoon.
Quezon City and its neighboring cities will experience a heat index of 43 degrees Celsius today.
The highest registered heat index, or perceived temperature, is in Aparri, Cagayan, at 47 degrees Celsius, followed by Tuguegarao City, Cagayan at 46 degrees Celsius.
Dagupan City, Pangasinan, and Echague, Isabela will experience temperatures of 45 degrees Celsius.
Aside from Taguig, Pasay, and other nearby areas in Metro Manila experiencing a heat index of 44 degrees Celsius today, here are other areas with the same heat index:

A heat index of 43 degrees Celsius is expected in:

A heat index of 42 degrees Celsius is expected in:
* Sinait, Ilocos Sur
* Batac, Ilocos Norte
* Itbayat, Batanes
