Lady riders in Taguig City convened for a seminar discussing methods to ensure road safety and the rights of women. The gathering was held at the Lakeshore Tent Hall, C6 Road, Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig City on the morning of December 6, 2024.

Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano attended the seminar where she emphasized the importance of safe and disciplined driving and the protection and rights of women.

"The goal is to empower female motorcycle riders by providing knowledge about their rights and training practical skills for their daily commute," Cayetano stated in a post on her Facebook Page.

The seminar was spearheaded by the Gender and Development Office of Taguig City. It tackled the timely topic themed "Ride with Purpose: Road Safety Guidelines and Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children."

Among the resource speakers who shared road safety guidelines were TOO1 Miguel E. Panal of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and Atty. Bill Mar D. Zinampan (CELO) who discussed the law against violence towards women and their children.
