This was the essence of the speech given by Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano during the Nurses' Week celebration at the Taguig Convention Center on October 31.
One of the nurses who demonstrated her dedication and compassion was Elvies Duque from the Centerlife Care Home health care service in Taguig City, who passed away due to Covid-19 in 2020.
She was recognized as a Heroic Nurse Awardee by the Philippine Nurses Association during the pandemic.
In the Nurses' Week celebration, the city government acknowledged the service of these dedicated nurses.
About 500 nurses from the Taguig City Health Office and the Taguig Pateros District Hospital attended the event.
Cayetano thanked the nurses for their dedicated service.
"Thank you for being a channel of blessing and love for our constituents. With your daily duties in our hospital and health centers, repeatedly facing our patients, you constantly show your heart in service," said Cayetano.
