Residents of Barangay Pembo who have pets are invited to bring their animals to avail of free services such as anti-rabies vaccinations, neutering, and consultations.
The Office of the City Veterinarian - Taguig wants to remind that only pet owners from Barangay Pembo will be served as the Pet Caravan will also be visiting other barangays in Taguig.
Among the free services offered to pet owners from Barangay Pembo include: pet deworming, anti-rabies vaccinations, microchipping, vitamin shots, and other medications, neutering, and consultations.
Pet owners are required to bring valid ID with Taguig City address, an updated vaccination card if any, a pet carrier or leash, provisions and tools for cleaning pet waste, and pets must be diapered and muzzled if they are aggressive or prone to biting.
Only pets aged 2 weeks and up and in good health will be given deworming treatment. For anti-rabies vaccinations, only pets aged 3 months and up who have not bitten anyone in recent days and are in good health are eligible.
Pets to be neutered must be at least 6 months old and weigh at least 3 kilograms. Pregnant, nursing, or in heat pets are not allowed. Pets should not have eaten 6 to 8 hours prior to neutering.
