Taguig Police Chief Colonel Christopher Olazo and his staff visited the Taguig City Police yesterday, October 4, 2024, to check on the ongoing submission of Certificates of Candidacy (COC) for the local elections in Taguig City.

Olazo was accompanied by Commission on Elections (Comelec) Officer II Marlon Ogerio in inspecting the Comelec COC Filing Area at the Convention Center of the New Taguig City Hall in Barangay Ususan.

Taguig City Police deployed personnel to ensure a peaceful conduct of COC filing until October 8, 2024.

Meanwhile, the Taguig City Police Station boasted their success in maintaining peace and order in the city by arresting several individuals involved in illegal activities from September 23 to 29, 2024.

A total of 25 individuals were arrested in relation to drug offenses, and the Taguig City Police seized prohibited drugs amounting to ₱851,003.20.

Fourteen individuals wanted by law were arrested, along with forty-two individuals nabbed for illegal gambling.

Those who violated city ordinances amounted to 3,362 individuals, who were subsequently released after receiving a warning.

"Taguig City Police Station remains committed in its mandate of combatting criminality and maintaining the City of Taguig a safer place to live," according to a post by the Taguig City Police.
