The city of Taguig has been recognized with the Paglaray Award in the Good Practice - City Level category for its unique achievement in establishing the Center for the Elderly.

The award was presented by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at their Knowledge Fair held on November 29 at SWADCAP, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The Paglaray Awards, named after a Bisaya and Cebuano word meaning alignment, commend the dedication of DSWD Field Offices and local government units that support and promote the monitoring of social welfare development laws.

Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano takes pride in the country's only free Center for the Elderly that provides comprehensive services to senior citizens.

Included are a therapy pool, sauna, massage room, cinema or mini theater, multi-purpose hall/recreational area, rooftop garden, and clinic.

The center is located on Ipil-Ipil Street, North Signal Village and spans five floors where its services are provided.
