Primary officials of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) convened to reevaluate their programs and strategies to further strengthen technical vocational education and training (TVET) in the country.

The National Directorate Conference in the Tandang Sora Hall of the TESDA Women's Center in Taguig City was led by TESDA Director General, Secretary Suharto Mangudadatu.

Under the theme "With TESDA Care is Dependable," the aim was to review and analyze the accomplishments of TESDA from January to May of this year to identify any shortcomings that need to be addressed.

"These conferences are indispensable for strengthening unity among our ranks. It is also through these conferences that we gain a shared consciousness of what is happening within the organization as well as of the external factors that help us in making the important decisions for Philippine TVET," according to Secretary Mangudadatu.

Meanwhile, Mangudadatu expressed his pleasure at TESDA achieving the highest approval and trust rating among government agencies for the third consecutive quarter, based on the PUBLiCUS Asia Pahayag Survey.

"This is excellent news that gives me a deeper inspiration to serve our citizens. Thank you and congratulations to all of you. I hope we can maintain, if not surpass, this rating during my tenure as your Director General," said the TESDA chief.

The secretary reminded those at TESDA to continue their unwavering service.
"Serve with a heart. Always remember, that is our target. We serve with a HEART: high quality, efficient and effective, accessible, and relevant technical vocational education and training for Filipinos," according to Mangudadatu.
