Thousands of residents from Barangay Cembo received medical assistance through the Taguig Love Caravan held at Makati Science High School, Barangay Cembo, Taguig City on January 6, 2024.
Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano personally greeted the patients who sought check-ups and treatments, expressing her happiness that Taguig was able to demonstrate TLC, or a transformative, lively and caring city, by providing free services to new Taguigeños.
Free medical consultations were provided to 1,459 patients from Barangay Cembo, where 316 were examined and treated by dentists, 66 availed papsmear services, 25 consulted with an OB-Gyne, and 544 received vaccinations against flu, pneumonia, HIV, and MMR.
An indigent patient was given assistance for all her medical needs, 435 were provided with free laboratory examinations including RBS, CBC, urinalysis, and blood typing, 88 received ECG, and 158 underwent X-ray.
Nutritional support was also provided to 56 patients, while 165 others were assisted with their various medical concerns.
Cayetano expressed her thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the Taguig Love Caravan, a free medical and dental mission of Taguig that tours its barangays.
"Thank you very much for the cooperation of our barangay officials, barangay leaders and coordinators. Many thanks to DepEd for allowing the use of the school for this program. Above all, thank you to the residents of Barangay Cembo for trusting this program," stated the mayor of Taguig.
