Two individuals, a female and one male, were killed when their motorcycle was hit by an SUV on J.P. Rizal Extension, in front of Guadalupe Bliss, Barangay Cembo, Taguig City, around 2:00 am earlier today.

The other passenger of the motorcycle, also a female, is under treatment at Ospital ng Makati in Barangay Pembo, Taguig City.

According to information obtained by Taguig.com from the Traffic Bureau of Taguig City, an SUV, a Ford Everest, being driven by a 44-year-old Indian national had crossed lanes, leading to a counterflow and collision with the motorcycle carrying the victims.

The victims, two females aged 19 and 15 and a 22-year-old male, were riding a motorcycle at J.P. Rizal in Barangay Cembo when an SUV suddenly crossed their lane and collided with them. The 15 year old female and 22 year old male succumbed to their injuries. The 19 year old female is under treatment at the Ospital ng Makati.

An official from the Taguig City Traffic Bureau at Market!Market! interviewed by Taguig.com clarified that the SUV driver was not intoxicated at the time of the incident.

The Indian national who drove the SUV is currently detained at the Traffic Bureau of Taguig City at FTI, Taguig.
