There will be an additional charge for motorists passing through the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX) starting March 19, 2024.

The Toll Regulatory Board has approved the request by MCX Tollways, Incorporated and MCX Project Company, Incorporated, owned by the Villar family, to increase the toll fees for vehicles passing through the MCX.

For Class 1 vehicles, which include cars, jeepneys, vans, pickups, and motorcycles with 400 cc and above, or vehicles with 2 axles and a total height of 7.5 feet, the fee will increase to P19.00 from the previous P18. 00.

Class 2 vehicles, which include buses, trucks, or vehicles with 2 axles and a height exceeding 7.5 feet, will now pay P39.00, up from the previous P37.00.

Class 3 vehicles, or large trucks, trucks with trailers, or trucks with 3 or more axles and a height exceeding 7.5 feet, will pay P58.00, increased from the previous P55.00.

The MCX is a four-kilometer, four-lane road that runs from the New Bilibid Prison reservation and connects Bacoor, Cavite, and the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).
