According to the injured driver, John Clyde Regalado, 34 years old, the brakes of his Isuzu Wingvan with plate number RGJ 761 failed, causing him to crash into another truck, a Super Grent, driven by Edgar Rempenas.
The Taguig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) Team 1 Dalupang Fire/ SAR Team promptly responded to the accident and immediately freed Regalado from his trapped position in the vehicle.
Threvor Nazario, one of the responders who rescued the victim, reported that Regalado told him the truck in front of him had stopped at a stoplight in Mckinley and his brakes failed, causing him to rear-end it.
Regalado was quickly transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
