Eight sealed plastic packets containing a substance suspected to be shabu with a total value of P170,000 were seized from two 28-year-olds during a buy-bust operation conducted on Champaca Street, Western Bicutan, Taguig City, on the evening of October 20th at 8:00 PM.

The suspects, identified only by their aliases Camille and Bulaska, sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover officer from the Taguig City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit.

The two suspects were taken by surprise when other police officers emerged and arrested them, confiscating approximately 25 grams of the suspected drug that was in their possession.

The Officer in Charge of the Southern Police District (SPD), Brig. General Mark Pespes, stated that the two would be charged with violating Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022.

The confiscated substances suspected to be drugs have been sent to the SPD Forensic Unit for further laboratory examination.

The two suspects are now detained at the Station Custodial Facility of the Taguig City Police Station.
