Over two and a half million pesos worth of shabu, a popular street drug, was seized from two women during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ususan, Taguig City on Wednesday night.

In a joint operation by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and Taguig City Police, Elizabeth Villanueva, 26, and Clarita Corpuz, 58, were arrested on Mariano Street, Barangay Ususan, Taguig City around 6:00 p.m. on July 17, 2024.

Five bags of shabu, estimated to weigh about 400 grams and valued at P2.720 million, were confiscated from the two suspects.

The NCRPO reported that the two suspects are now held at the Taguig City Police Station and will face charges for violating the Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
