The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is currently monitoring the potential overflow of the following river basins due to the expected heavy rainfall from Typhoon Enteng's landfall in Casiguran, Aurora and also caused by the Southwest Monsoon.

Signal Number 2 has been raised in 12 areas in Luzon as Typhoon Enteng moves northwest and is spotted in the Cordillera Administrative Region.

According to the bulletin issued by PAGASA last night at 11:00 PM (September 2, 2024), the areas under Signal Number 2 are:
Ilocos Norte
Northern part of Ilocos Sur
Apayao
Abra
Kalinga
Mountain Province
Ifugao
Cagayan including Babuyan Islands
Isabela
Northern part of Quirino
Northern part of Nueva Vizcaya
Northern part of Aurora

Signal Number 1 has been raised in the following areas:
Batanes
Rest of Ilocos Sur
La Union
Northeastern part of Pangasinan
Benguet
Rest of Nueva Vizcaya
Rest of Quirino
Middle part of Aurora
Northeastern part of Nueva Ecija

Typhoon Enteng continues to move north-northwest at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour. It carries winds of 85 kilometers per hour and gusts reaching up to 105 kilometers per hour.

Starting this afternoon, September 3, until the afternoon of Thursday, September 4, Typhoon Enteng will move towards the West Philippine Sea. As it passes through Northern Luzon, it may further intensify, according to PAGASA.

The Southwest Monsoon will also bring moderate to intense rainfall in other parts of Luzon, particularly in the western parts, within the next three days.

Typhoon Enteng is expected to leave the country on September 4, 2024.
