At present, Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 has been raised over the Babuyan Islands, along with the northeast part of Isabela, and the eastern part of Apayao. The area is expected to experience winds of 39 to 61 kilometers per hour.
Signal Number 1 is in effect in the following areas: Cagayan including the Babuyan Islands, the northeastern part of Isabela (San Pablo, Divilacan, Maconacon, Palanan, Cabagan, Santa Maria, Tumauini, Ilagan City, San Mariano), and the eastern part of Apayao (Luna, Pudtol, Santa Marcela, Flora).
As of 11:00 pm last night, the center of Typhoon Julian was located 400 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes, bringing winds that reach up to 55 kilometers per hour near the center, peaking at 70 kilometers per hour.
It is moving towards the south-southwest in the Philippine Sea, east of the Babuyan Islands, at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour.
Typhoon Julian is expected to be classified as a tropical storm by Saturday morning before becoming a typhoon by Sunday.
This Saturday, September 28, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes will be affected by rainfall.
On Sunday, September 29, Aurora, CALABARZON, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Marinduque, Bicol Region, Aklan, and the northern part of Antique will experience rainfall.
And on Monday, September 30, Metro Manila, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Aurora, CALABARZON, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Marinduque, and Bicol Region will encounter rainfall.
