"In the extended outlook, there is a developing forecast situation wherein Kristine will be looping over the West Philippine Sea on Sunday and Monday and move generally eastward towards the general direction of the PAR region. However, this scenario heavily depends on the behavior of the tropical cyclone east of the PAR region," PAGASA reported.

Typhoon Kristine may strengthen again while moving in the West Philippine Sea.

The possibility of intensifying into a "typhoon category" is also not ruled out.

"While it is likely that the tropical cyclone will remain a severe tropical storm in the next five days, the chance for it to be upgraded into a typhoon is not ruled out," PAGASA added in their report.

In PAGASA's latest report last night, at 11:00 pm, October 24, 2024, the center of Typhoon Kristine was located off the coastal waters of Bolinao, Pangasinan.

It retained its strength of 95 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of 145 kilometers per hour. Its central pressure is at 985 hPa.

Its movement is slow towards the south-southwest and the wind strength extends up to 730 kilometers from the center.
