Northern Cagayan, northern Apayao, and northern Ilocos Norte are currently under signal number 4 as Typhoon Marce continues to bring strong winds and heavy rain. The typhoon is expected to make landfall in mainland Cagayan at approximately 2:00 PM today, November 7, 2024.

The areas affected by signal number 4 include Gonzaga, Santa Ana, Santa Teresita, Lal-Lo, Buguey, Aparri, Camalaniugan, Gattaran, Ballesteros, Allacapan, Abulug, Pamplona, Sanchez-Mira, Claveria, Santa Praxedes, Lasam, as well as the Babuyan Islands.

Northern Apayao, including Santa Marcela, Luna, Flora, Calanasan, Pudtol, is also under signal number 4.
Similarly, the northern part of Ilocos Norte, including Pagudpud, Bangui, Vintar, Dumalneg, Adams, Bacarra, Pasuquin, and Burgos, is under signal number 4.
The center of Typhoon Marce was last spotted at 10:00 AM, approximately 115 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan (18.5°N, 122.7°E).

The typhoon carries winds of up to 175 kilometers per hour near its center, with gusts reaching 215 kilometers per hour. The central pressure is recorded at 940 hPa.
The typhoon is moving west-northwest at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour.
The span of the strong winds and rain extends about 560 kilometers from its center.

Signal number 3 is raised over Batanes, the remaining parts of Cagayan, Apayao, Ilocos Norte, northern Abra (Tineg, Danglas, Lagayan, Lacub, San Juan, La Paz, Bangued), and northern Ilocos Sur (Sinait, Cabugao, San Juan, Magsingal, Santo Domingo).
Signal number 2 covers northern and central Isabela (San Pablo, Santa Maria, Divilacan, Tumauini, Maconacon, Cabagan, Santo Tomas, Quezon, Palanan, Ilagan City, Mallig, Delfin Albano, Quirino, San Mariano, Gamu, Roxas, Naguilian, Burgos, Reina Mercedes, Benito Soliven, Luna, Aurora, San Manuel, San Mateo, Alicia, Angadanan, City of Cauayan, Cabatuan), the remaining parts of Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, northern Ifugao (Alfonso Lista, Aguinaldo, Mayoyao, Banaue, Hungduan), the northern portion of Benguet (Bakun, Mankayan), the remaining parts of Ilocos Sur, and northern La Union (Sudipen, Bangar, Balaoan, Luna, Santol).
Signal number 1 is raised over the remaining parts of La Union, Pangasinan, Ifugao, Benguet, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, northern and central Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, Dinalungan, Dipaculao, Maria Aurora, Baler), northern Nueva Ecija (Carranglan), and northern Zambales (Santa Cruz, Candelaria).
PAGASA warns of a storm surge that could potentially be life-threatening as it may rise above 3 meters in the next few hours in Batanes, Cagayan, Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and La Union.
