Typhoon Marce (International Name: Yinxing) made landfall twice in Cagayan yesterday, November 7, 2024, inflicting severe wind and rain on Northern Luzon, causing damage to establishments and roads and flooding in several areas.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the first landfall of Typhoon Marce was in Santa Ana, Cagayan at about 3:40 PM. The second landfall was in Sanchez Mira, Cagayan at around 9:00 PM. It is continuously moving westward.

Typhoon Marce brings winds with speeds of up to 175 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 290 kilometers per hour.

PAGASA warns that Cagayan, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte are still in extreme danger as the eye of the storm is currently over Claveria, Cagayan (18.5°N, 121.1°E).
