According to data from the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) as of 10:00 PM, November 9, 2024, the center of the storm is located 625 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes or 750 kilometers east of Daet, Camarines Norte (14.6°N, 129.9°E).
It carries winds with a strength of 75 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts up to 90 kilometers per hour with a central pressure of 998 hPa.
It is moving westward at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour.

* Eastern part of Nueva Vizcaya (Kasibu, Alfonso Castaneda, Dupax del Norte, Diadi, Quezon)
* Aurora
* Eastern part of Nueva Ecija (Bongabon, Gabaldon, General Tinio, Laur)
* Eastern part of Bulacan (Doña Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray)
* Eastern part of Quezon
* Polillo Islands
* Camarines Norte
* Camarines Sur
* Catanduanes
* Northeastern part of Albay
Typhoon Nika is expected to further intensify in the coming days, particularly as the northeasterly wind flow strengthens.
It is estimated to make landfall on Monday afternoon or evening, November 11, 2024, in Isabela or Aurora.
It could reach the category of Severe Tropical Storm by Sunday.
Everyone is warned that Typhoon Nika will further intensify while over the Philippine Sea, east of Quezon Province.
All are advised to secure their properties and pets, and those in low-lying areas, near bodies of water and mountains, are encouraged to evacuate to safer places.
Heavy rain (>200 mm) is expected on Monday, November 11, in Isabela and Aurora. Likewise, in Cagayan and Quirino (100 - 200 mm) and in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Nueva Vizcaya, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes (50-100 mm).
Heavy rain is also expected in Apayao and Kalinga on Tuesday, November 12 (>200 mm); Cagayan, Abra, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur (100 - 200 mm) and in La Union, Benguet, Aurora, and the remaining areas in Cagayan Valley (50 - 100 mm).
PAGASA also issued a warning that due to the recent heavy rain in these areas, people should exercise extreme caution as the soil is weakened and there is a risk of landslides.
