The Land Transportation Office (LTO) stated that they imposed a 90-day preventive suspension on the man's driver's license as he falsely presented himself as an authority figure attempting to seize the license of the truck driver he was arguing with.
A social media video posted by a "Pareng Hulyo" on Facebook narrated that his truck and the man's SUV came into contact around 11:30 am on C5 Taguig.
"He passed himself off as a police officer on the road, along C5 Taguig, I encountered this SUV. He was outraged at me because he said I was tailgating him, while I was trying to avoid him as he kept blocking the way. He was out of line. He blocked us and claimed he was a police officer. He even threatened to shoot us, which wasn't captured in the video as it ended. I hope someone notices this individual because his words were inappropriate, especially during our last conversation when he said, 'I'm okay now, I know where you live'", Pareng Hulyo detailed on Facebook.
Not only was the man's license suspended, but the registration of the white Ford Explorer he was driving at the time has also been affected, pending the results of the investigation into the incident, according to LTO Chief Vigor Mendoza II.
The LTO also issued a show cause order against the SUV driver where he is asked to explain why he should not be punished for violating traffic laws.
The SUV driver has been summoned to the LTO- National Capital Region (NCR) office on Monday, December 4.
